In this work group the original surface of the painting ground becomes the actual subject matter. Wrinkled-up, crushed, bent, torn -the work process leaves space to chance. The painterly structure of the inner drawing allows only vague associations of an organic microcosm. The folds of the wrinkled paper throw shadows which play with painted structures. Torn pieces move toward each other, with the often strong, dynamic application of colors joining them together affirmatively, integrating them into the background.
